The Fight Night series has long been the undisputed King of the Ring in terms of the boxing sport simulation. Now EA Canada is aiming to reinvent the genre all over again with Fight Night Champion, a game that will introduce players to a whole new way of getting punched about and lying on the canvas. Revamped visuals will make even the oldest boxing star in the ring look brilliantly graceful in his haymaker executions, with the development team highlighting their focus on the way the fighters move, capturing their likeness in every step. Extra attention has been paid to ensure the realities of the sport remain intact - new damage representations showcase the sheer brutality of the bout in high detail. Its not just the visuals thats had a touch-up - every Fight Night game has taken pride in its gameplay physics engine, and Champion intends to take it even further with a new system called the Full Spectrum Punch Control. With it, players can hope to find the most realistic punching mechanic in a sports game, while still finding it easy to use. Itll be tough to master though, with a huge roster of fighters that contains all of the greatest champions, contenders and pretenders in the sport. And with the obligatory online play included, you might even find some tougher opponents around the globe. Time to start fighting like a champion!

1.5 out of 10 Only for fans:(

I have impression that all the EA sport games are now only made for fans and if you have not played the last year version - it's not the game for you. I'm not a fan of boxing at all, but from time to time I can watch some fighting, so I decided to try it out. First of all the game is hard - there is not tutorial and the trainings are so strangely designed that you dont learn anything. OK, the game shows you which buttons to use, but do not teach you how to play - I guess they assumed you played the series since it creation so you will do just fine - wrong! - even at the easiest level I couldn't pass the second oponent, so I threw the towel. Too bad, as the game seems to have so interesting story and nice graphics but is just not entertaining - or maybe I'm not patient enough.
