Excellent Movie

A powerful movie which focusses on the relationship between 2 heroin addicts: Dan & Candy. They are deeply in love with each other but are also tragically bound by their addiction. The movie portrays how Dan & Candy head down the path of self-destruction & it's hard not to feel sympathy for them as they resolve to extreme measures (prostitution, theft) to come up with the money to finance their addiction. It is a beautifully shot movie which manages to be gritty, emotional & genuinely moving.

Fantastic.

A few reviewers complained that this one is too slow and depressing, but having read the book I wasn't expecting it to be any different. Ledger and Cornish are brillant as the young couple in love, with each other and heroin. The film follows their addiction and many failed attempts to deal with it. It's not a happy subject and definitely not a light hearted movie but the perfomances make it well worth the watch.

Excellent film, Heath Ledger is amazing , not one to cheer you up but very moving and very true to the destruction of lives by drug abuse. I was gripped from the start to the end , so sad but but so real.

A good movie. Very serious and even cringy at some points but the reality of the consequences of drug abuse really gets the point across. Not a bad movie, i'd watch it again.

Slow moving but raw and chilling, show's the nitty gritty cycle of drugs.... Should be shown to secondary school teenagers to show them the truth behind the glamour....
