Big Fish

The father has a habit of embellishing the truth to such an extent that the son doesn't feel he knows him.I think that there are a lot of families that have such characters who never let the truth get in the way of a good story. At the end of the day has the son misjudged his dad? Tim Burton has his hallmark stamped all over this film and the themes that run through it have a resonance to anyone who has been lucky enough to have had storied told to them as children by their parents/grandparents.

Not quite typical Tim Burton but close enough and thats not necessarily a bad thing here. It's full of story and imagination and has a great cast. Its easy to get caught up in the story here and you should enjoy this.

Another good film from Tim Burton, weird and wonderful as only he can do. A rites of passage story loosely based on his own life. Helena Bonham carter makes a great witch!

A colourful tale of fantastic stories. As a son tries to separate the truth from mythology, of his dying fathers epic adventures.

Missed when it first came out, viewed it last week and enjoyed every bit of it. Great if strange story that keeps you hooked.
